Timo Ceniceros is an Artist & Music Composer, indigenous to Southern California.

He currently resides in Santa Paula and is an Artist in Residence at Pacific & Main.

Current works on canvas are dynamic musical compositions whose forms develop over many years through cycles of creation, destruction and transformation. Mediums include acrylic, oil, aerosol, ink, paper and various solvents & resins. Compositional framework comes through a flow state recursive, rhythmic calligraphy which is a through line throughout Timo’s work. Elements of collage and found imagery is sometimes integrated, contributing to the disorienting kaleidoscopic effect.

Seamlessly transitioning between visual and audio projects, Timo continues a 20+ year career experimenting with music composition, production and sound design, following studies at California Institute of the Arts.

Most recently, under the alias Gnome Beats, he has been releasing intricate, bass forward electronic music via the acclaimed LA based experimental record label Dome of Doom. Timo’s sophomore LP ‘Las Formas en Flujo’ (2020), saw some critical acclaim and play on independent radio worldwide, including KCRW, BBC and the chart position of #6 on Canadian College Radio. He has scored ads for Adidas, GoPro and has music featured on TV shows such as the New Girl and Smash.

Timo is currently finishing up production on his 3rd LP as Gnome Beats and is constantly experimenting with sound, rhythm and harmony.
